🏆 Jeddah United Crowned Champions of the Saudi U-17 First Division League

In a new milestone added to its record of achievements, Jeddah United has been crowned champions of the Saudi U-17 First Division League in its inaugural 2025–2026 season, reflecting the rapid growth of women’s football in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The title was secured following an exciting final match between Jeddah United and Najmat Jeddah at King Abdulaziz University Stadium in Jeddah. The match ended 1–1 in regular time before Jeddah United claimed victory through a penalty shootout, in a game that highlighted the high level of competition and the remarkable development of women’s football, as reported by Arab News.

The inaugural edition of the league witnessed the participation of several ambitious teams that delivered closely matched performances, creating a highly competitive environment that contributed to the emergence and development of young talent.

The launch of this league comes as part of broader efforts to develop women’s football in Saudi Arabia, through building an integrated system that starts from youth levels and progresses to professional stages, in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.

Throughout the tournament, Jeddah United demonstrated strong tactical discipline and the ability to manage high-pressure matches. The team maintained technical consistency and delivered a balanced performance between defense and attack, enabling them to reach the final and secure the title with confidence.

This performance reflects the club’s ongoing commitment to developing players and building a team capable of competing across various competitions.

The season featured several standout individual performances. Nada Al-Otaibi (Al-Anqa) won the league’s Top Scorer award, while Lina Jaafar (Najmat Jeddah) was named Best Player of the inaugural edition.



Jeddah United goalkeeper Ward Maharji was awarded Best Goalkeeper, highlighting her crucial role in the team’s successful campaign.

The final was attended by Saudi Arabian Football Federation Vice President Lamia Bahaian and Head of Women’s Football Alia Al-Rasheed, both of whom expressed their pride in the remarkable progress and achievements demonstrated throughout the season.

With this victory, both Jeddah United and Najmat Jeddah secured promotion to the U-17 Premier League next season, strengthening the pathway for player development and opening opportunities to compete at higher levels.
